URGENT UPDATE: Blagrove Lane Development Decision Tonight

Friends and neighbours, tonight is a crucial moment for our community. The Wokingham Planning Committee will decide on the controversial proposal to build 350 houses and develop farmland around Blagrove Lane.

We’ve been fighting this battle since spring 2022. Here’s what you need to know:

  • 10 years ago, we successfully defeated a similar project at both the Planning Committee and Appeal stages.
  • Unfortunately, this time, Wokingham Planning Department is recommending approval, despite acknowledging that the negative impacts “broadly equal the benefits.”
  • We’ve thoroughly examined the report and developer plans, and we strongly disagree with their assessment. Our team will present our case tonight, but we only have 6 minutes to make our voice heard.

Planning Meeting Details:
📅 Tonight at 7 PM – Shute End Council offices

We urge all concerned residents to attend if possible. Your presence can make a difference!Let’s stand together to protect our community and preserve our local environment. Share this post to spread the word!
